intelliSENS i2 Smart Current Probe Released

Taraz Technologies announces that it has developed a new smart, agile, new generation of probing technology which connects to both oscilloscope & PC simultaneously and enables multiple probe synchronization. They are backed by powerful user friendly analysis tools for instant performance measurement, recording and analysis.

Development Background

Due to mammoth cost of available current probes, most educational institutions especially in developing countries are unable to provide them to their students and researchers. Traditional probes also require powerful and expensive oscilloscopes to perform instant complex analysis and give results conveniently.

intelliSENS Smart Probes are designed to solve above issues and provide cost effective solution that can perform powerful analysis without the need of oscilloscope at a fraction of cost of similar performing non-smart probes. Furthermore, PC connectivity opens the door for new possibilities such as advanced analysis, recording and viewing the results at later stage and perform analysis on them. Another amazing feature enabled is the possibility of synchronizing multiple probes to measure many more channels than oscilloscopes can offer.

The intelliSENS i2 Smart Current Probe comes in dual channel measurement of ±100A AC/DC current with up to 200 KHz frequency bandwidth, which makes it ideal for most applications including 3 phase motor drives. The probe can be used by students without requiring oscilloscope or other equipment.

intelliSENS Smart Probes are backed by powerful analysis, recording and viewing software with very easy graphical user interface (GUI). This will change the way how researchers and students work completely. Besides getting advanced analysis such as THD, FFT, etc. instantly, researchers and student can record their experiments, analyze them later, and even share them with their colleagues and supervisors, who can also analyze them. Low Cost analogSENS i2 Dual Channel Current Probe Released

Taraz Technologies announces the release of analogSENS i2 Dual AC/DC ±100A 200 KHz current probe which is a low cost, high bandwidth and high accuracy alternative to available current probes in the market. The probe can be interfaced to all oscilloscope brands.

Development Background

Due to mammoth cost of available current probes, most educational institutions especially in developing countries are unable to provide them to their students and researchers.

analogSENS probes are designed to create a very low cost current measurement option for universities with low budgets. These probes can be interfaced to all types and brands of oscilloscopes. The probe design does not compromise on quality and beats much higher cost alternates in terms of accuracy and bandwidth. The specifications of the probe truly defines a new value for cost benchmark for available current probes in the market.

For ease of access a handy accessory, TBAN, is provided with analogSENS to overcome its inability to clamp. TBAN has been designed keeping safety standards into consideration. Using TBAN, Standard banana plugs can seamlessly be used with analogSENS. Moreover, for low current measurement, intrinsic sensitivity can be increased from 0.1V/A to its ‘n’ times by giving ‘n’ number of turns.

Taraz Technologies announces the release of newly developed GDA Advanced Series of Isolated, Configurable IGBT/MOSFET Smart Gate Drive Modules that accelerate the development of power electronics inverters and converters, and help researchers and students to overcome hardware barriers.

Development Background

IGBT/MOSFET Gate drivers are critical and complex design blocks of any power electronics hardware. Researchers and students are usually stuck with hardware issues which delay their research, development and learning process.

Taraz Technologies developed research and education friendly gate drive modules that can be used by researchers and student to accelerate development, help in understanding basics and move on to next development stage which requires a functional hardware. Engineers can work on control and power stage development of VFDs, Inverters, Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS) and Solar Inverters without waiting for final hardware to be built. Students can step further into topology understanding, PWM modulation techniques and advanced control algorithms.

The most notable feature of GDA Series is advanced protection. This module has short circuit protection using desaturation detection, soft shutdown, miller protection and fault latch circuitry. It can safely turn off the switch and give the controller an isolated fault feedback signal. These advanced protection features reduce research and development cost by saving expensive IGBTs from destruction under fault conditions, which occur frequently during development and testing of new products.

IPSA Series of Multi-Channel Isolated DC/DC Converters for Gate Drive Applications Released

Taraz Technologies announces that it has developed a new series of Non-Regulated, Multi-Channel, Isolated Power Supply Modules (IPSA-Series) that provide a broad range solution for scalable, compact and high performance Gate Driver Designs to be implemented in Solar, Wind, Industrial Drives and Instrumentation.

Development Background

High performance isolated gate drive circuits are not used by industry due to very high cost of isolated dc/dc converters. Conventionally, bootstrap mechanism is used to cut down cost and part count which has many disadvantages and reliability issues.

IPSA Series of multi-channel isolated output DC/DC converters brings down the cost to a new level. Using this product will enable design of high performance gate drivers for broad applications with affordable cost.

The quad channel model is perfectly suited for 3 phase inverter applications where 4 isolated supplies are required. Such configuration is very widely used in industrial and renewable energy Inverters and Converters. The small size and high power density makes it absolutely ideal for Intelligent Power Modules (IPMs) gate drive supply requirements. The dual channel model is perfectly suited for very high power gate drive circuit of half bridge topologies.

IPSA Series DC/DC converters have been tested for high temperature operation and retain their ratings at whole temperature range of -25 to +85 °C. High reliability makes them ideal choice for renewable energy inverters to guarantee service free long life.
