PELab | The Power Electronics Rapid Development System
The PELab is a modular power electronics development system that connects to multiple controllers and real-time HIL simulator simultaneously. The PELab can operate in multiple modes that make the research and development cycle faster. It features fully isolated measurements that can connect to oscilloscopes directly without any probes and includes advanced protection features such as SCP, OCP, OVP & OTP. The PELab also includes an industrial-grade embedded controller based on ARM Cortex M7/M4 dual-core microcontroller with an integrated 5″ touch display and multiple communication ports. The PELab can be ordered with various commonly used power electronics topologies, while the banana connectors on the back panel enable different application circuit configurations.

TI C2000 F28379D Based RCP Controller
The PE-RCP Box is ideal for power electronics inverters and converters control system implementation due to its Rapid Control Prototyping capability directly from MATLAB, PSIM & PLECS. In addition, the open-source MATLAB Simulink models will greatly accelerate the development cycle of power electronics converters with the help of available application examples. Furthermore, large resources are also available from Texas Instruments that support the development of the F28379D ControlCARD which is used in the PE-RCP Box.
Typhoon HIL Interface Module
This product is designed to facilitate direct connection between the PELab and Typhoon HIL real-time simulators. It can also provide connectivity to Taraz Technologies other products such as the PEController and PE-RCP control cards, as well as the USM-3IV isolated voltage and current measurement module. It provides a direct connection between the Typhoon HIL 96-pin DIN41612 type connectors, the PELab DB37 connectors, the PEController/PE-RCP IDC 40-pin connectors and the USM-3IV IDC 16-pin connectors. This module can be fit on a standard 19” rack cabinet using the provided accessories or used on a desktop standalone.
Pricing Information
*Note: 8A & 16A versions of SiC power modules are capable of up to 300kHz switching frequency operation with power de-rating. Higher current versions can operate at 200kHz maximum switching frequency with power de-rating.
**Note: The PELab system accepts only 16 digital input channels, therefore, pre-charge and disconnection relays are only available when enough digital input channels are present. This can affect PELab-MMC/TNPC/NPC models with 16 independent switches control in the system.
